Environmental Responsibility
We process metals across the full technological cycle — from raw material collection to the delivery of materials meeting industrial specifications.

As part of KGHM Polska Miedź, we serve enterprises across Lower Silesia in the professional management of steel, cast iron, copper, and aluminium scrap.
All processes are carried out in compliance with environmental permits, waste management regulations, and the technological standards of the Capital Group. Emissions monitoring, radiological screening of materials, and regular audits ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements.
Metals in circulation
Metals retain their technical properties regardless of the number of processing cycles. Steel can be remelted repeatedly without losing its structural parameters. Copper returns to circulation after decades of use in electrical installations. Aluminium from industrial structures becomes feedstock for new applications.
Every tonne of scrap we process replaces the extraction of raw material from natural deposits. Our technological processes extend the service life of mineral resources by additional production cycles. Sorting by grade, quality control, and adaptation to buyer specifications ensure that material re-enters industry as a fully functional secondary raw material.

Professional recovery standards
Each branch operates under current permits for waste collection, transport, and recovery. The material intake process begins with mandatory radiological screening — every batch passes through radiation detection gates before entering the facility.
Processing installations are systematically modernised in line with Best Available Techniques (BAT). We conduct ongoing monitoring of emissions, energy consumption, and water usage, striving to minimise our environmental impact. We regularly undergo internal audits conducted by KGHM services as well as inspections by the relevant state authorities.
Ongoing impact verification
Raw material processing is subject to continuous quality control and compliance checks against industrial buyer requirements. Material sorting follows European classifications for steel grades, non-ferrous metals, and their alloys, enabling precise preparation of feedstock for further use.
Processed material meets the technical specifications set by steelworks, foundries, and processing plants. CCTV monitoring and operational procedures ensure process safety, full material traceability, and the ability to verify every stage of its management.

Impact on industrial emissions
Steel production from secondary raw materials requires 75% less energy than production from iron ore. Recycling aluminium reduces energy consumption by 95% compared to extraction from bauxite.
Every tonne of metal kept in the economic cycle means a preserved natural deposit and lower CO₂ emissions associated with the extraction, transport, and processing of primary raw materials. Our operations directly contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the metallurgical industry in Poland.
